This Christmas season, one million lights illuminate Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens. You can take part in a special “Deck the Hall” celebration December 1-3, 7-10, 14-23, and 26-30. The Manor House interiors are decorated to reflect the theme of “Postcards from the Past,” and the evenings of celebration include a Christmas tree lighting in the Courtyard with Santa.
"The Estate will be illuminated in holiday lights, a total of one million lights across the property. The Great Garden and Birch Tree Allée will be fully illuminated, completely transforming the look of the outdoor landscape. The whole garden behind Dazzle will be awash in lights that will transition slowly and subtly, changing color as guests stroll through the gardens," notes Linda Conrad, president and executive director.
A variety of musical performers will serenade guests in the Manor House each night from a new performance space—the Minstrel's Balcony—overlooking the Great Hall.
Adding to the Christmas magic: Captivating “shop window” displays, an outdoor light show set to Christmas music, a majestic 25-foot tree, and an enchanting Gingerbread Land decked out with oversized candy canes, gingerbread and more holiday lights.
Deck the Hall evenings end with fireside treats, including Bavarian pretzels, hot gingerbread cookies, popcorn, beer and wine.
