Cleveland Heights, Ohio is a diverse, progressive, vital suburb of Cleveland just up the hill from University Circle, with its museums, colleges and world-renowned medical facilities – Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals – and is a convenient drive to downtown. Well known for its rich variety of homes, Cleveland Heights has everything from front-porch Colonials and Arts and Crafts bungalows to stately Tudors, historic mansions and innovative new condos.
You’ll find tree-lined streets, great parks and recreational facilities, authentic “main-street” shopping, award-winning restaurants, entertainment, theaters and more! Creativity and culture abound in Cleveland Heights – Home to the Arts! This city attracts artists, musicians, galleries, theatre and dance companies, as well as patrons of the arts.
Located in Cleveland Heights is Cain Park; a summer performing art park owned and operated by the City of Cleveland Heights. No ordinary City park, Cain Park begins where most leave off: an outdoor, intimate, covered theater similar to a mid-sized off-Broadway space (Alma Theater); an outdoor covered amphitheater (Evans Amphitheater); an air-conditioned art gallery (Audrey & Harvey Feinberg Art Gallery), and outstanding programming that includes professional theatrical productions, a nationally recognized Arts Festival, cabaret series, professional dance companies, children's programming, and concerts featuring national, regional, and local performers. Cain Park also features 22 acres of bike and jogging paths, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, a skate park and picnic tables and pavilions -- but it's eclectic music under the stars that really makes it unique. Come check out the 2014 schedule of events HERE.
There is also famous Coventry Village, once known as the place to find Cleveland hippies, now provides a mix of eclectic eateries and shops catering to young and old alike. Art supplies, vintage toys and vegetarian food are offered alongside books, Birkenstocks, coffee shops, restaurants and live music. Some days Coventry feels like Main Street U.S.A. Other days it’s a college town. Sometimes it feels like a destination for a school field trip. Other days it feels like a place to hang out with your family and friends.
Everyday it’s a unique experience in Cleveland Heights.
