Our Choices for Shopping, Outlet-Style

Some of the areas best shopping isn’t found at the malls, but at the outlets: Aurora Farms Premium Outlets and Lodi Station Outlets.

Located about 40 minutes southeast of downtown Cleveland and 35 minutes northeast of Akron , the Aurora location has beautifully landscaped grounds and quaint New England-style structures, and it offer shoppers selections from more than 70 designer and name-brand outlets. Store include Adidas, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers Factory Store, Calvin Klein, Coach, Gap Factory Store, Levi’s, Loft Outlet, Michael Kors, Nautica, Nike, The North Face, Polo Ralph Lauren, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, Tommy Hilfiger, and more. When it’s time for a shopping break, visit the ducks in the pond near the front of the complex. In fact, you may want to bring a bag filled with stale bread pieces to feed these fine, feathered friends. They’ll be so glad you did, they’ll probably quack you up. (330.562.2000)

The Lodi outlets are about 55 minutes southwest of downtown Cleveland and 40 minutes west of downtown Akron. This 300,000-plus-square-foot, turn-of-the century outlet mall features vintage trains and more than 60 stores that include high-quality deals from brands such as Aeropostale, American Eagle, Bath & Body Works, Izod, Reebok, Tommy Hilfiger, and many others. And if you have children, be sure to bring money for all-day train passes. At just $4 for ages  2 and older, the all-day train pass is a must. Plus, children under 2 are free. (330.948.1239)
