The quality of life in Geauga County is directly linked to its citizens’ commitment to protecting natural resources. Geauga Park District is dedicated to the protection and conservation of the county’s natural areas, providing abundant opportunities to connect with the natural world.

Each of the 19 open parks highlight unique features of Geauga County, with a large network of trails available for activities such as hiking, bicycling, cross-country skiing and horseback riding. The West Woods Nature Center hosts natural history exhibits and nature art each day 10am to 4:30pm. Picnic shelters and campsites can be reserved. And numerous public programs and special events are held regularly throughout the parks.
